Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai athlete from Peru, and a mixed martial arts artist fighting for the UFC at the flyweight division, is at present fighting. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fighting sports journey as an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and defeated Suzane Miller at the end of the tournament by an the unanimous vote. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007, and a medal of bronze in 2008, and she won a gold medal in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA Amateur World Muaythai Champ in 2016. Antonia's professional career started in 2003. In 2012, she was the winner of in the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship as well as in the year 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 she won the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's latest fight came against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko won her first professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova in KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan. She took home the second round TKO fight as well as her two fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003, resulting in an overall record of 3-0. Shevchenko stopped for a few minutes from MMA and focused on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko took the victory over Anissa Haddaoui's fight in a unified decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in the same decision. The promotion ended in 2018, and enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's prodigious strike abilities enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. Following this victory Antonina was able to sign a UFC contract. Antonina took part in her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision in her first fight. Antonina was able to bounce back from her defeat to defeat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned her second fight of the evening in this bout. Shevchenko suffered defeat to Katlyn Cookagian and then defeated Ariane Lipski in her subsequent three bouts. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
