Aurora

Aurora Aksnes (born June 15, 1996, in Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian musician and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, receiving rave reviews from bloggers and music critics as well as from the media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of the artist's high-profile recordings. Katy Perry's support for her track Runaway on her blog brought the singer additional recognition. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano within her loft and being intrigued by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes advised her to make music as a means of development of her own, not for the purpose of making a living or as a hobby. She began writing songs of her own. As well as Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. The singer decided to perform her music in public when her mother suggested that they could help people not gain acclaim for her work but to make the people around them understand their importance and the ways they could impact the world. The piano was her first instrument, at six. She began writing music when she turned nine. Her family didn't hear about her musical journey until she was 14. Aurora's success was never her goal. Her sole passion is to compose music. According to her, the songs she creates are the way that she feels anything.
